This book has religious references, and depending on your beliefs you might be uninterested in this book, but it was an interesting story. I thought the full title was a bit long, but I went with it and dived in. This is a touching story for anyone who has lost someone, Gabby, our angel protector, and main character of the story is helping Bo, and guiding him, educating him about heaven, and helping him move on with his life. Despite what you believe, the plot of the story, the interactions with Gabby & Bo, and the general theme of the novel will leave you feeling a bit of hope. Bo was able to come to terms with the world, and learn to embrace something bigger and supernatural in order to allow him peace over the loss of his true love. Though there’s some feelings between Gabby & Bo, it’s not something that is distracting or overpowering, because it’s not the point of the story. Humans can’t resist angels, and it happens, but as a thriller, I’d say it was pretty good. I think it has more of the human interest element to this story, but with the angel interaction, and some of the adventures, you can clearly see how it falls into thriller. The main themes in this novel are faith, hope, and learning to love again. There’s a lot of explanation in this book, but I don’t feel it took away from the story much, I’m one of the people who like to figure things out themselves and not have everything explained, but it wasn’t that bad. Overall, I left the book with a feeling of hope, and thought it was an enjoyable read.
